  • Have over 20 years experience with Microsoft based PCs from DOS to Windows 7.
  • Malware cleanup, system setup and configuration, installation (and removal of unwanted preinstalled software), as well as troubleshooting.
  • Most experience has been in a business environment where it is important to have a secure and consistent systems.
  • Hardware repair, installation, configuration and upgrades, including laptops.


    Macintosh

  • Have over 25 years of hands-on experience with Macs in business and home environments from the Macintosh Plus on up.
  • Have troubleshooted, configured, performed minor repairs, upgrades and networked macs to the internet and with other systems.
  • Used a wide varity of Mac applications, including spreadsheets, word processors, database, desktop publishing, illustration and paint programs.
  • Data conversion and file rescue from crashed drives.


    Linux

  • Over ten years of using Linux as a primary home computer over seven in work environments.
  • Familiar with many distributions.
  • Have configured servers that provided Web services, FTP, file sharing (SMB), iCal, SSH.
  • skilled at troubleshooting, maintenance and backup.


    Vintage Systems

  • Have used a wide variety of computer systems from Commodore, Amiga, Apple (Apple II), Atari, Tandy/Radio Shack and CP/M based systems.
  • Have experience in older system limitations an know that not every model computer works as expected (if you have an older system, you know what I mean).
  • Have a modest collection of classic hardware and software to work with and am active in the classic computing community.
  • Have written software, resurrected systems, built custom adapters, done data conversions, and created displays for events.
